Four years ago I left a 12-year career in coaching and teaching to become an editor/content creator with Fish The Moment. With more time on the water, I dove deeper into forward-facing sonar (FFS) and quickly developed skills beyond the average angler. Although I’d mainly fished offshore and hadn’t focused on bank fishing before, I made it a mission to learn every way to catch bass using FFS.

In 2023 I launched a guide business focused on teaching anglers how to target and catch offshore bass while improving their electronics skills. From fall 2022 onward I practiced FFS on every outing, and by early 2024 the on-the-water lesson trips really took off. Since then we’ve completed over 370 FFS-focused lesson trips, and the last three years have been an intense period of learning and teaching.
